The French company specialized in digital infrastructure and services for connected equipment, Sogetrel, inaugurated on Thursday in Casablanca its new subsidiary in Morocco, Genius Services, in the presence of the Delegate Minister responsible for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Ghita Mezzour.

The creation of the Sogetrel Group in Morocco, after Belgium and Germany, represents a new stage in its international development, which includes a wide range of activities from the construction of communications networks to the integration of solutions in the field of electronic security and electric mobility . including implementation and support services in IT.

Genius Services will initially offer the business management services that made Sogetrel’s reputation in France. By relying on the high-level technical expertise of Moroccan technicians, this strategic location in Casablanca will allow the Sogetrel Group to strengthen its commitment to service quality and take advantage of Morocco’s dynamic economic environment. This new subsidiary plans to create 500 jobs by the end of 2024, with a prospect of 1,000 employees by 2026.

A team of 250 multilingual and experienced support engineers is already operational and supporting Genius Services’ first customers: French telecom and retail companies. They provide user support and back-office services across multiple channels, as well as monitoring and planning of interventions. On this occasion, Ms. Mezzour expressed her satisfaction with the installation of “Genius Services” in Morocco, highlighting “the attractiveness of the Kingdom as a favorite investment destination given its indisputable assets, such as its competitiveness, its infrastructure and its pool of quality talent.”

And to consider that “it is these assets that have allowed Morocco to take second place as an offshoring destination in Africa and gain twelve places worldwide to occupy today the 28th position”.

Ms. Mezzour also highlighted the government’s efforts to train qualified personnel in digital professions, expressing her confidence in the great achievements that the Genius Services Morocco team will bring to the Sogetrel Group in terms of excellence and innovation.
