Servette Chênois, the defending champion, and Young Boys, the surprise team of the season, meet at 15:00 at Letzigrund (from 14:50 on RTS2) for the Swiss Cup title. The Genevans are the favourites, but the Bernese have some arguments to make.
After giving the floor to the Genevan Sandrine Mauron, RTSsport went to Wankdorf late Friday afternoon to meet midfielder Audrey Remy. The temperature is cool, the wind is fierce, but the atmosphere in the team is good and diligent.
The 22-year-old from Friborg, who is playing his 3rd season with YB’s first team, is aware of the challenge ahead. “Servette can rely on very good individuals and play a very physical game, but we have seen that they are not unbeatable”, Remy notes. Proof, last Saturday’s defeat at the Stade de Genève against Zurich (3-0). “We will do everything to score more goals”.
The Young Boys also have arguments to tip the scales in their favour: the players of German Imke Wübbenhorst have the 2nd best attack in the championship and notably have beaten Zürich twice this season. Geneva and Bern met twice in the championship, each time resulting in a draw.
Audrey Remy has been hitting the ball since she was 6-7 years old. “A Family History”, she tells us. RTSsport went to film a subject at the ASF academy in 2017 with Fribourgeois who was 15 years old at the time. The opportunity to take stock of the midfielder, who talks about everyday life as a Superliga player and still dreams of wearing the A national team shirt.
