Slim design, but screen has limitations

The Polar Pacer Pro is a connected watch that has a fairly slim design with a round 45mm case. The small thickness (11.5 mm) and light weight (41 grams) together with the bracelet also make it particularly discreet and light on the wrist, which is very convenient during workouts during which you do not want to feel any discomfort.

However, the Polar Pacer Pro’s design is not without its flaws, starting with the very wide bezels between the bezel and the screen, which is also covered with Gorilla Glass 3, which is shock- and scratch-resistant. Regarding this screen, please note that it is not touchscreen. Therefore, to navigate the menu you will have to use the various buttons located on the body; a manipulation that can be confusing at first, but fortunately you get used to it very quickly. If we say more about this screen, here we have access to a MIP panel (memory in pixel), a liquid crystal display that does not require a backlight, since it is the external brightness that allows the screen to be read, and is also more energy efficient. If its screen is readable, it’s not entirely accurate, as this 1.2-inch panel only has a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels.

The ideal watch for sports monitoring.

Polar Pacer Pro will score much higher points for monitoring the user’s health and sports activity. First of all, it can measure effort in 16 different activities, from walking to triathlons, including HIIT, swimming and even cycling. But the watch is mainly aimed at outdoor running and offers fairly accurate GPS. Otherwise, she may also perform walking or running tests to evaluate your athletic performance or your VO2Max. A good way to optimize learning using collected data. The watch can also analyze your sleep and even tell you if you’re ready to run again or resume your activity thanks to the ” Night recharge”, which will evaluate your recovery day by day. On the health front, the Polar Pacer Pro has a very accurate heart rate sensor, provided the band is tight enough. Finally, regarding battery life, the Polar Pacer Pro is equipped with a 273 mAh battery. During our test, activating continuous heart rate monitoring and screenalways on, and after running three workouts with GPS turned on, we were able to use the watch for 5 days and 19 hours before it ran out of battery.
