Before he went to practice with the seniors like every Friday night, Clissonnais Landry Caillon stopped by the clubhouse. Not to join his rugby buddies, though to submit CVs with a view to work at the start of the school year.
The civil engineering student at the secondary school next door (Aimé-Césaire) participated in job forum from his club, SAC Clisson Rugby.
And unlike last year which took place on a Saturday morning, this second forum attracted many more people last Friday between 5pm and 8pm, around a hundred visitors according to the organizers.
Thirteen SACC partner companies at the forum
The companies present were all partners in SACC. It was the 13th.
Temp agencies (Synergie and Manpower), mass distribution (E. Leclerc de Clisson), construction companies, climate energy companies, shops… these companies in the Clissonnais and Vendée sector that Lucas G recruits and offer fixed contracts.
On the one hand we are lucky to have a network of around a hundred partners at SACC and on the other hand our young people aged 16-20 who are looking for a summer job, work study program or job. And to keep them with us as long as possible, they better find them around Clisson. Hence the idea of this job forum.
More and more partners in SACC
SAC Clissonnais Rugby has 105 partner businesses this season, including 33 that have just joined their ranks. A club within a club just waiting to expand, with the Federale 3 project by 2027. “The club’s strength is being able to rely on this network and we need it for our project. If we want to achieve our goals, we must give ourselves the means, says Romain Richard, the president of the partner club that organizes five highlights during the year to integrate them as best as possible, in accordance with the values of the oval. In addition to the job fair, an evening was held at Hellfest head office in March, another at Christmas and one at the end of the season are also on the programme. Next on the list is the Partners tournament on May 3.
Diego is looking for a summer job
The forum was not not only open to SACC licensees, although many of them came to introduce themselves to the recruiters (like Samuel, an U19 who presented himself with a CV in the red and green colors of the club!).

I am looking for work this summer and I came to the forum to expand my research areas. I try my luck. One company took my CV, two others didn’t, because I was too young.
A “big opportunity” for businesses
The company CEME Moreau in Vallet, a new partner in SACC, collected six in the first hour. “We are especially looking for good profiles,” point out David Ripaut, production manager, and Julie Debas, from the HR department. Plumbers, heating engineers and air conditioners are missing.
A Sonamia, specialized in the wholesale of pneumatic equipment in Saint-Hilaire-de-Loulay in the Vendée“no reason to be a rugby player” to be a forklift driver or fitter. “We’re looking for people, but we’re taking our time to recruit,” says Mathieu Roudaut, operations manager.
Full employment area
In this territory of full employment, where unemployment does not exceed 5%, these partner companies see this forum as “a great opportunity” and a way to “get to know each other”.
“We did not hesitate to come, especially since the market has become tense since Covid,” say Christelle Biré and Marie-Laure Pineau, from a growing Vendée company (Lucas G in La Verrie), but in need of welders and folder. It is up to companies to adapt to the requirements of the candidates, they are the ones who hold the keys.”
A new forum is expected in 2025
For SACC, in any case, is the test transformed again : the employment forum should be renewed next year. “It remains to be determined the date and the format that may develop,” the organizers conclude.
