“An exceptional qualification” requested by FFBaD for Ronan Labar and Lucas Corvée

A federation “furious” faced with the treatment of double Lucas Corvée and Ronan Labar. A week after losing their place at the Olympic Games in Paris due to a calculation error in the qualification rankings by the International Badminton Federation, the two Frenchmen received support from the FFBaD.

Although the BWF acknowledged the error, management of the incident did not pass to the French Badminton Federation. This condemns this Wednesday “the amateurism of the management of this ranking and the scandalous approach of the BWF to change an award of points one year later”.

In compensation for this serious misstep, the FFBaD submitted an official appeal to the international badminton body and asked for a “an exceptional qualification in the name of sporting justice and the values ​​of Olympism”.
