While Xavi confirmed his departure last March, the 44-year-old Spanish technician changed his mind and will remain on the FC Barcelona bench until 2025.
Decisive meeting with Laporta
Information confirmed by the Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo this Wednesday. After the board meeting, Deco, the sporting director of FC Barcelona, met with Xavi and his assistant and brother Óscar Hernández. The coach who trained at Barça also met in the evening, Joan Laporta, the president of the Blaugrana club who he confirmed that he will remain the coach of the Catalan club.
