And to explain that Morocco is positioned as one of the largest global markets, thanks to more than fifty free trade agreements, in particular with the European Union and the United States, providing access to a market of 2.5 billion people.

He also highlighted the quality of infrastructure, the competitiveness of ecosystem industries and Morocco’s vision initiated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in particular its commitment to the production of renewable energy and green hydrogen, as well as its aspiration to become a regional industrial hub . At the same time, Mr. Jazouli continues, Morocco has strengthened its traditional industries such as agro-industry, textiles and tourism, making them increasingly competitive. Moreover, with thriving ecosystems in the automotive and aerospace sectors, the country has developed high-value industries that are now recognized as global benchmarks, he argued.

“At the heart of this progress is Morocco’s exceptionally talented and committed youth, who play a central role in realizing the country’s ambitions. This economic dynamism testifies to Morocco’s desire to prosper and play an important role on the international stage,” the minister said. Moreover, Mr. Jazouli expressed his confidence in Germany’s partners and reaffirmed Morocco’s commitment to economic development and international cooperation.

The “Morocco Now” conference in Munich was held under the theme “Creating synergies for Sustainable Partnerships”. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Federal Republic of Germany, Zohour Alaoui, the Deputy Director General of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection, Ursula Borak, the Director General of the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Export (AMDIE), Ali Seddiki, the Vice President General of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Mehdi Tazi, and the Director General of Investments and Climate Affairs at the Ministry, Ghali Skalli. The choice of Munich as the location for this conference, which brought together more than 200 participants from German and Moroccan businessmen living in Germany, can, according to the organisers, be explained by its status as the capital of Bavaria and its central role in the German economy. .

After Spain at the end of January, the 2024 tour to promote the destination of Morocco to foreign investors and clients continued in Germany as part of a Roadshow organized by AMDIE from April 22 to 25, in collaboration with the Moroccan Embassy in Germany. This Roadshow takes place in a particular context marked by the launch of the ‘Morocco Offer’ and the realization of several strategic investment agreements in the electric battery sector aimed at the emergence of a national green automotive ecosystem, which could be consolidated with leading German operators.

The tour featured meetings with German decision-makers, investors and institutional representatives, as well as visits to sites of the largest German industrial companies in the field of electrical, electronic technologies and industrial automation.
