Rabat – The Kingdom of Morocco, whose sovereign HM King Mohammed VI, may God help him, chairs the Al-Quds Committee, under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, strongly condemned the intrusion of certain extremists and their supporters on the esplanade of the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as provocative acts which they committed by violating its sanctity.
According to the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, the Kingdom of Morocco confirms its rejection of all measures affecting the legal and historical status of the city of Al-Quds and its holy places, including the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, and all restrictions approaches the believers to its fenced area, emphasizing the need to preserve its civilizational and Islamic character and avoid any form of escalation and provocation.
The Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, affirms that the establishment of a just and comprehensive peace and the commitment to lasting stability in the region continue to depend on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 1967 with the capital of Al Quds-East, in in accordance with the resolutions of international legality and within the framework of the resolution on two states.
