NHL: results from the second game of the Golden Knights vs. Stars series

Time for the second game of the series between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Dallas Stars.

The Texans team can reassure themselves despite a 1-0 deficit in the series. The Stars actually lost the first game of the series in the 1st and 2nd rounds last season. They eventually managed to eliminate the Minnesota Wild and the Seattle Kraken.

The scenario was repeated in the association finals, but this time they were unable to recover at that moment. The problem for the Stars is that they face the same rival in the first round this year, the Golden Knights.

If Dallas is hoping for a different result than last year, among the Stanley Cup champions, we certainly want to see the team build a 3-0 lead over the Stars. During the 2023 series, it took a sixth game to end the confrontation.

In the first game on Monday, it was the first time that Mark Stone, Tomas Hertl and Noah Hanifin were all in uniform for the Vegas team. The two strikers scored a goal each in a 4-3 win Stone set the tone for his return to the game with the first goal of the series. Hanifin finished the evening with two assists.

Goaltender Jake Oettinger will be looking to bounce back in the second game, having given up four shutouts on just 15 shots. Logan Thompson was much more burdened in front of his cage with 29 shots against him.

The third game in the series between the two teams takes place on Saturday, this time in Vegas.
