Sri Lankan shares end higher on the back of advances in financial and industrial stocks

Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Thursday, driven by gains in financial and industrial stocks.

* The CSE All Share Index settled at 12,075.98, up 1.4%, after three straight sessions of gains.

*LOLC Holdings and John Keells Holdings were the biggest gainers on the CSE All Share, up 5.6% and 2.4% respectively.

* Trading volume on the index fell to 141.70 million shares from 207.60 million shares in the previous session.

* Stock market turnover rose to 2.91 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($9.8 million) from 2.51 billion rupees in the previous session, according to stock market data.

*Foreign investors were net sellers, selling shares worth Rs 299 million, while domestic investors were net buyers, buying shares worth Rs 2.62 billion, the data showed.
