In recent months, the Red Star coach had already been courted, by Brest before the arrival of Eric Roy, and by Olympique Lyonnais before the arrival of Fabio Grosso. He also acknowledges that interest from Olympique de Marseille, where he spent four seasons as a player, would be impossible to turn down.
