Maroc Telecom has just announced its consolidated results for the first quarter of 2024, marked by a 1.3% decline in sales, which amounted to 4,723 million dirhams at the end of March 2024. Growth in fixed internet activities (+7.6% thanks to the performance of FTTH activity) partially compensates for the decline in mobile telephony in Morocco (-4.2%).
End of March 2024, The mobile customer base numbers 19.3 million customers, an increase of 0.9% year on year with a park postpaid up 3.4% Over the same period.
At the end of the first quarter of 2024, mobile revenue showed a decline of 4.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Blended ARPU stood at 42.7 dirhams at the end of March 2024, down 6.6% year-on-year.
regarding the Permanent Parkhas the number of lines decreased by 8%almost in total 1.75 million end of March 2024. The broadband park (ADSL+ Fiber) also experienced A decrease of 8.5%with about 1.54 million subscribers. Nevertheless, its fixed and internet businesses generated revenues of 2.5 billion dirhams, up 3.1% year-on-year, thanks to 7.6% growth in fixed data that offset the decline in voice revenues.
