Clermont Foot opens the Gabriel-Montpied stadium for an exceptional blood trip

Many activities are planned around the blood drive at the Gabriel-Montpied stadium, Tuesday 30 April, with the highlight of the day a public Clermont Foot training.

Transfusions, treatment of blood diseases or cancer, creation of medicines. Blood plays an important role in our health system. And as the May holidays approach, donors are less available and stocks dwindle. It is therefore to avoid a shortage that the French Blood Establishment (EFS) joins forces with Clermont Foot and Clermont Auvergne Métropole to organize this great event on Tuesday 30 April from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Meet the players and mascots

Throughout the day, players from the club will come and talk to donors. But also Torix, the Clermont Foot mascot who will be with Super Donneur, donating blood. A photo call will also be available as well as a selfie terminal.

Something to delight the taste buds and reassure first-timers

Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted to hear that the traditional post-donation snack will be offered by Gourmet creation, the football team’s official catering company.

And for those for whom this would be the first donation, don’t worry, Gisèle Deschamps from My moment Massage will be there to support them in the best possible conditions.

Behind the scenes at a training session

At the end of the day, donors and their companions will even be able to attend an important training session for Clermont Foot, who still maintain hopes of being retained at the end of the season.

This event is part of the “Donation Marathon”: In this year of the Olympic Games, EFS has set itself the goal of breaking the donation record. Many collections like this will be linked to sporting events and all donors will receive a marathon bib to testify to their commitment and generosity.

If you are not available to donate this weekend, don’t worry, the Maison du Don de Clermont Ferrand at the CHU is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (10:00 am to 7:00 pm Tuesday) and Saturday morning. You can book an appointment here.

Conditions: be between the ages of 18 and 70; weigh at least 50 kg; have your identity document; don’t come on an empty stomach.
