Briar and Yannick Schwaller’s disappointment at the World Mixed Pairs Championships in Östersund. Solothurns failed to reach the podium after losing 6–5 to Norway in the small final.
The Schwallers showed two very different faces in Sweden. After winning their first six matches, they won only one of their last six games, the quarter-final against Scotland.
Against Norway (Kristin Skaslien/Magnus Nedregotten), the Swiss duo led 3-2 before missing a fatal three in the fifth end. With only a 71% success rate on their stones, the Schwallers couldn’t have hoped for a better fate. But their 4th place is an excellent result with an eye on a ticket to the 2026 Olympic Games.
