After a few months JMGO will launch a new back room video projector in France. According to the manufacturer, it is called N1S Ultra and is equipped with Google TV with Netflix and is capable of projecting images with Ultra HD (4K) resolution and a very high brightness of 3000 lumens.
JMGO is a Chinese company offering video projectors since 2011. In addition to marketing its products in China, more and more of its references are available worldwide. Last year, the brand launched the JMGO N1 Ultra video projector in the market. This is a DLP model with a triple laser source, capable of projecting images with Ultra HD resolution and 3D compatibility, according to the manufacturer. Mounted on a pendulum-type support that can rotate 360 degrees and 135 degrees vertically, it can be mounted on a ceiling, for example, or simply placed on a shelf.
JMGO N1S Ultra, in turn, uses the same format, pendulum principle and the same technical characteristics. What changes is that the N1 Ultra (still available) runs Android TV without the official Netflix app (still accessible via the Desktop Assistant app, but without Ultra HD content), while the new model uses Google TV with Netflix pre-installed.
According to the data sheet provided by JMGO, the N1S Ultra delivers 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, still with the triple laser source and 0.47-inch DMD DLP chip. The brand claims a contrast ratio of 1600:1 and BT2020 color gamut coverage (a bit fancy) of 110%. The device is capable of projecting images up to 150 inches diagonally. In addition, we can count on automatic image correction functions that make installation easier.
The N1S Ultra video projector is compatible with 3D, HDR10 content, but not HDR10+ or Dolby Vision. The audio part is provided by two built-in speakers of 10 W each with DTS certification.
In terms of connectivity, the JMGO N1S Ultra supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 and has two HDMI 2.1 inputs, one of which is eARC compatible, a USB-A port, as well as a 3.5mm audio output. The device has exactly the same dimensions as the N1 Ultra: 241 mm wide, 203 mm high and 236 mm deep. It weighs approximately 4.5 kg.
For now JMGO N1S Ultra promised marketing this summer, but we don’t know its price yet. N1 Ultra, in turn, is available at: €2300 approximately.
