Corsair’s new high-end keyboard, the K95 RGB Platinum, has the difficult task of replacing the K95 (RGB) in the manufacturer’s catalogue. To keep the odds on its side, it features the latest super-fast Cherry MX Speed ​​switches and reproduces a glowing aesthetic card with a new backlit area on the top edge. In exchange, it loses two-thirds of its macro keys, which risks disappointing those who like extra control. At the very least, it reduces keyboard clutter.

Aesthetically pleasing, well-built, comfortable and responsive, the K95 RGB Platinum is a success. Removing a few macro keys isn’t a big loss in our opinion, even if the biggest users of these features will inevitably be disappointed. However, this allows you to reduce the size of the keyboard, which becomes significantly less bulky and takes on more classic proportions. The integration of Cherry MX Speed ​​switches into our test version will also please fans of incredible responsiveness.
