Disney’s new film ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ has been revealed in a teaser. The film will tell the story of the young Mufasa, father of Simba, the hero of the first work released in 1994. The story will be told in the form of flashbacks, in which Mufasa appears as a young orphaned lion who meets a lion named Taka, the heir. Of royal lineage.
The voice cast includes Aaron Bier as Mufasa, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taka, and Tiffany Boone as Sarabi, with Kagiso Lediga reprising the role of Rafiki. Mads Mikkelsen will play Kyros, the fearsome lion, while Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner will play Timon and Pumbaa. Donald Glover and Beyoncé will play Simba and Nala.
Directed by Barry Jenkins, the film will also be a musical featuring new songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. “Mufasa: The Lion King” is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2024.
