The Cannes Film Festival is considered a “major event”

A decree of 26 April designates the 77th session of the Cannes International Film Festival, which will take place from 14 to 25 May 2024, in the commune of Cannes, in the department of Alpes-Maritimes (06), as a major event within the meaning of: Article L. 211-11-1 of the Internal Security Code, taking into account the procedure provided for in Articles R. 211-32 et seq. of the same Code.

Its organizers are allowed to obtain the approval of the administrative authority for the access of anyone, except spectators, to the designated sites until May 25, 2024 at midnight.
