the future of CSP is at stake this Tuesday night in Limoges

A meeting between managers and investors will be arranged on Tuesday 30 April. The aim is to know who can work together, and under which management.

“We’ll see if there’s white smoke…” If the president of Limoges CSP Didier Jamot uses the image of a conclave, it is because the meeting organized this Tuesday evening in Limoges is important.

All the stakeholders in the thick file meet around the same table. The President explains: “We’ll open the envelopes and see what’s inside.” It is done the future of the club that will be at the heart of the discussions, an institution threatened by its subsequent deficit and communication.

On the one hand, the current owner, Céline Forte, should make public the names of new investors. So far, the secret has been well kept: even the president of the club says he does not know their identities. On the other side, Lionel Peluhet, manager of Intermarché and lover of the club, should present his offer.

It will then be necessary to negotiate, and the questions are many: Do the investors agree to cooperate? At what level? Who will lead the club forward? Didier Jamot hopes to be able to move on in any case: “We have to see if everyone can get along, if 1+1 can add up to 2. We add together and move on…”

The president is still asking for time to organize and communicate, but the deadlines are approaching: the National Directorate of Management Consulting and Control has given the CSP a deadline of May 15 to present a reliable budget that will allow it to maintain its place in the basketball elite. On the sporting side, the construction of a future team also awaits…
