Is the fate of Stéphane Tessier confirmed? It looks like that. According to La Provence, the general manager of OM should pack his bags at the end of the season. His relationship with the president of OM, Pablo Longoria, which is already very cold, has deteriorated considerably in recent weeks.

Tessier and Longoria had nevertheless managed to work together for many months, after Tessier arrived as CFO in the spring of 2022. Promoted to CEO in October, a symbol of growing power at the club, he ended up losing the battle for influence with his president.
In January, Pablo Longoria was reassured by the arrival of Mehdi Benatia in November as an adviser to the president. The latter has confirmed his authority and looks more than ever to hold the reins of the Marseille club, as reported by L’Équipe newspaper.
On OM, two clans appeared and the gap gradually widened, making coexistence difficult. Those close to the shareholder knew that a decision had to be made very quickly, and the usual weekly Monday meeting, via video with the United States, sealed the end of the soap opera.

Tessier’s departure was noted by the McCourt clan as well as by the individual concerned. The former Stéphanois will therefore leave the Marseille ship at the end of the season, the time to reach an agreement on compensation.
