Premier League. Ipswich Town officially moved up to the English top flight

Ipswich Town ended their Championship season in second place with a 2-0 win against relegated Huddersfield on Saturday, returning the Tractor Boys to the Premier League after a twenty-two year absence.

Back after more than 20 years

The team led by 37-year-old Northern Ireland coach Kieran McKenna finished just one point behind leaders Leicester, who were already crowned D2 champions before the 46th and final day, when they lost 2-0 to Blackburn.

Ipswich, a club from Suffolk (east of England) located around a hundred kilometers from London, has not played in the elite of English football since the 2001-2002 season, at the end of this season. The last entry ticket to the Premier League, awarded on 26 May at Wembley, will be played between Leeds (3.e), Southampton (4e), West Bromwich (5e) and Norwich (6e) after playoffs played in two-way semifinals.
