Banjul – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit conference, held in Banjul, emphasized the complete rejection of all separatist plans aimed at harming and undermining the sovereignty of member countries of the Organization and the security and integrity of their territories. .

According to the Final Communiqué of the 15th edition of this summit, separatist entities pose a threat to political and security stability in several regions, including the African continent, and are dangerous as terrorist and extremist groups, given their ideological alliance and the financial, tactical and practical means available to them. available.

OIC member countries are invited to adopt a comprehensive and integrated approach to strengthen efforts to combat factors that encourage the spread of extremism, terrorism and separatism, the document points out.

The OIC summit also expressed support for the security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries of the Sahel and the Lake Chad Basin, as well as opposition to any external interference in these countries.

He also emphasized Mali’s decision to opt for an approach that allows the Malians to take responsibility for the peacekeeping operation through the establishment of a framework for dialogue between the Malian parties in order to achieve peace and reconciliation, which means definitively abandoning the so-called The contract was signed in 2015.
