To hope to maintain their position, Stade Mayennais needed to win their last two matches and benefit from an exceptional combination of circumstances. But the dreaded verdict was handed down on Saturday. By winning, Carquefou took away his last illusions. Mayenne is therefore officially relegated to R2.
