End of Escape from Tarkov controversy, see you in six months for the next film

If you had not subscribed, Battleste Games, in charge of developmentEscape from Tarkov, offered a version of their game for more than 300 euros. It featured exclusive elements, including a PvE mode, and promised owners of the previous edition “free access to all future DLC.” If you want to hang carriages, we invite you to read our detailed article on this topic. After the huge crap that followed, studio head Nikita reconsidered his decision three times, but never apologized for mistaking the players for idiots. And only five days later there was a final change of course to finally satisfy everyone (or almost). In the end, it ended like this:

  • Version owners Edge of Darkness (EOD) will gain access to PvE mode. Access will be opened gradually so as not to burn the servers.
  • They will also have bonuses in terms of skills, caches, quests and other such crap.
  • Players who have other poor versions will be able to purchase access to the PvE mode.
  • They will also have two lines added to their stash!
  • Owners of the cursed version, Unheard ofwill have temporary bonuses and in-game trinkets, as well as a discount coupon for another version of the game.
  • Everyone will be able to unlock items exclusive to this edition. Unheard of (beacon, distress signal, pocket size extension).

All’s well that ends well, as we find reassuring “fast payment” rather than things exclusive to a specific version. If you want more details, you can find the full announcement in this Reddit post (in English).

We use what we talk about Tarkov mention the recent patch 0.1.7.0 for ARENA released on May 2nd, which just offered a new game mode. Keep your eyes peeled, it’s very original: it’s a fight to the death. Hooray! Thanks to this, they are sure to attract a crowd! For more information, check out Reddit again.
