Landes of Justin Bécret, in the water and on dry land

Ineligible this year for his antechamber (Challenger Series, or CS), Bécret has nevertheless inherited the European wildcard that will allow him to compete in the season’s six stages. And if he did not shine in the first one which has just finished at Snapper Rocks, and was eliminated as soon as he entered the match (49th), he will quickly have the opportunity to make up for it as the second one is scheduled from the 9th. to May 16, still in Australia, in North Narrabeen, in the northern suburbs of Sdyney.

Plant a forest

When he is not competing with a Lycra from the WSL or another competition on his shoulders, Justin Bécret is recharging his batteries at his home in Landes. In the liquid barrels of Hossegor and the surrounding areas of course, or as soon as the sea swells a bit. But Seignois does not refuse dry land. Even less “his” Landes country, its traditions and its nature which he works to preserve through authentic actions.

This is how Justin Bécret, together with his parents and brother, three years ago undertook to “plant a forest” on a large piece of land near Pontonx, “lost, a little inland”. Trees that he is very careful with as he does not hesitate to take out the busker regularly to give these little oaks space to grow. And thus “having something nice and beautiful to pass on” to future generations, in addition to the surfing trophies that already fill his closet and will surely fill up in the years to come.
