Soccer. Prestigious clubs at the Lamballe tournament on 18 and 19 May

It has become a tradition. This year again, Lamballe Football Club (Côtes-d’Armor) organize tournament of Pentecost. “The first edition dates back at least 15 years,” tries to remember Jean-Yves Mounier, emblematic figure of the club.

Last year, the U15 category was affected. This time space for U11 and U13.

Prestigious guests

Lamballe U11s will be keen to shine. Winners of Red Star and Concarneau during a tournament in Pontivy earlier in the year, the youngsters have arguments to make. TAKE Rennes, Forward GuingampSaint Brieuc or Le Havre makes the trip to Penthièvre.

” 133 children will sleep with licensees or will be host on the Penthièvre site made available for the occasion, explains Nadia Macron, responsible for activities and events. She and 70 volunteers have been working hard since September 2023.

A new dimension

“This year we are changing dimensions. The tournament will be National. The aim is to bring in the local population and thus continue develop the club. We will take stock of the event, continues Jean-Yves Mounier.

The 24 teams in each category will be divided into six groups of four. The home and away games last 12 minutes.

Saturday and Sunday morning will be devoted to the group stage. The last phase starts on Sunday noon. The meetings will last 15 minutes.

Note that a concert will end the festivities on Sunday evening.
