Western Cancer Institute will celebrate 100 years of fighting disease

The Western Cancer Institute (ICO), headquartered in Angers, was born in 2011 as a result of the merger of the René-Gauducho center in Saint-Herblain and the Paul-Papin center near the University Hospital of Angers.

These two cancer centers (CLCC), which have merged into one, have been organizing several exciting events since the beginning of the academic year, which will be described later: exhibitions, open days, concerts, shows, etc., in honor of their centenary.

Explanations by P.R Mario Campone, oncologist and general director of the institution, which today employs 1,400 specialists in two centers, including almost 600 in Angers, and treats 50,000 patients.
