XV of France U20 – Les Bleuets win against Georgia to end the preparation camp

As part of the preparations for the 2024 World Cup, the France Under-20 team, in training for a week, beat Georgia in Tbilisi on Saturday 4 April, 26-17 April.

Bleuet’s one-week course in Georgia ends today. Less than two months before the World Cup, which takes place in South Africa this summer, Sébastien Calvet’s men won this Saturday in opposition to Georgia, 26-17.

In a closely contested battle, the reigning world champions was hung for 80 minutes. If the Georgians struck first with a try from Tskhadadze, it was the French who took the lead at the break thanks to tries from Desperes, Julien and Caumel. In the second act, Belaubre came to secure the score to confirm the victory of the French team.

A match with a lot of intensity. We knew that was going to be their forte. I think we responded to that. We are very happy because there were times at the Six Nations where we struggled a bit in this area. After some inaccuracies in the attack, as soon as we respected the framework, we were able to find the bugs. So we still have to persevere in certain areas. A very good preparatory match, we are satisfied” declared today’s captain, Thomas Souverbie.

After this one-week training course, the Bleuets return to their respective clubs to complete the season. They meet again on Monday 17 June in Marcoussis, for the start of the globalist adventure.
