In partnership with Artestar and The Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Samsung is launching the first digital collection of works by artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, designed specifically for display on The Frame TVs.

Samsung Art Store[1], in collaboration with Artestar and The Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat, now offers 12 major works by Jean-Michel Basquiat. These iconic pieces are featured in a digital collection for the first time and complement the wide selection of art from museums, collections and world-renowned artists already available in the Samsung Art Store.

Samsung Art Store is a service that allows The Frame owners to transform any space with a selection of more than 2,500 pieces of digital art, including works by top artists and trendsetters. It includes a monthly subscription costing €4.99 or an annual subscription costing €4.99. 49.99.

The new collection features unique pieces created throughout Basquiat’s career. Among the works available to Art Store subscribers: Bird on money (1982), an excellent tribute to Charlie Parker. We also find there Boy and dog in Johnnypump (1982), King Zulu (1986), which features a large block of blue in the artist’s most refined style and a double portrait with Andy Warhol. Dos Cabezas (1982), which, like some of Basquiat’s works, takes inspiration from his Puerto Rican heritage.

This selection of works was specially developed for the Art Store, adapted to 16×9 format and selected based on its ability to accurately reproduce on The Frame TVs while respecting Basquiat’s legacy.
