MARKET OVERVIEW. The New York Stock Exchange opened higher on Monday in an attempt to extend the weekend’s recovery, fueled by a slowdown in US employment, again signaling a soft landing for the economy.

In Toronto, the S&P/TSX rose by +149.15 points (+0.68%) to 22,096.56 points.

In New York, the S&P500 rose by +21.35 points (+0.42%) to 5149.14 points.

THE Nasdaq rose by +45.68 points (+0.28%) to 16,201.01 points.

THE DOW rose by +189.03 points (+0.49%) to 38,864.73 points.

THE wage remains balanced at $0.732.

THE oil rose +US$0.51 (+0.65%) to US$78.62.

Gold rose from +26.60 USD (+1.15%) to 2,335.20 USD.

THE bitcoin increased by +US$1,320 (+2.11%) to US$63,910.
