Transfers. International – Edinburgh sign Mosese Tuipulotu, brother of international Sione

The Edinburgh club announced this Monday the recruitment of Mosese Tuipulotu from this summer, and for a period of two seasons. Like his brother, international Sione, the center is eligible for the Scottish selection.

Edinburgh, like Glasgow, will be able to boast of having a Tuipulotu in its ranks! The club from the Scottish capital announced on Monday morning the arrival, this summer, of Mosese Tuipulotu (23 years old), for two seasons. He is the brother of international Sione (27 years old, 25 caps) and, like him, is eligible for the Scotland squad.

Edinburgh Rugby have completed the signing of Scotland-qualified center Mosese Tuipulotu on a two-year deal.

The 23-year-old will join from @NSWWaratahs this summer, subject to visa and medical clearance.

Mosese also grew up in the Melbourne area but moved to Sydney to play with Eastern Suburbs and make a few appearances with the Waratahs in Super Rugby from 2022. He also plays at center (12 and 13), and has attributes comparable to the brother (1.82 m, 102 kg). His official arrival from the Waratahs is subject to an approved visa and medical, as specified by Edinburgh Rugby.

On the Scottish club’s website, Mosese Tuipulotu mentioned the possibility of meeting his brother at URC: “I’ve actually never played against my brother! The Edinburgh-Glasgow derby looks great to experience. If I get the chance to play it, I’m sure it will be a great time against Sione.”
