Tennis. Andy Murray returns to competition just before Roland-Garros

Andy Murray is racing against the clock to return to form before this summer. The Brit injured his ankle on March 18 and chose not to go on the operating table, even believing that he “don’t play much beyond this summer”.

Meanwhile, the former world number one will return to the ATP 250 in Geneva, which starts on May 18, a week before the start of Roland-Garros. The current 77th player in the world has received an invitation from the organizers to be in the final draw.

A farewell tour?

Andy Murray, who underwent hip surgery twice in recent years, will celebrate his 37th birthday at the end of the month. The three-time Grand Slam winner could wait for the Olympic Games, which he won twice in 2012 and 2016, to say goodbye to tennis.

Since the injury in Miami, Andy Murray has postponed his return to competition twice, refusing to play the Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo and then the ATP 250 in Munich. On the Swiss clay, the Brit could start his farewell tour before continuing at Roland Garros where he played four semi-finals and one final.
