Realme launches new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 smartphone with super-fast charging and vibrant display

Realme has expanded the GT Neo6 series with the standard GT Neo 6 after launching the GT Neo6 SE series almost a month ago. As expected, the GT Neo6 is based on the GT Neo6 SE by replacing the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chipset with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Theoretically more powerful thanks to the increased CPU clock speed and better GPU, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is more powerful than GT Neo6 SE. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 has the same processor cores as the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3.

Additionally, the GT Neo6 surpasses the GT Neo6 SE by offering 120W wired charging compared to the latter’s 100W. So the GT Neo6 should charge from 1% to 50% in 10 minutes, which is 2 minutes faster than the GT Neo6 SE. However, GT Neo6 and GT Neo6 SE share a lot of common equipment, such as:

  • 5500 mAh battery
  • 6.78″ LTPO AMOLED display, 120Hz, 2780 x 1264 pixels, 1600 (HBM)/6000 nits (peak brightness)
  • Main camera 50 MP (Sony IMX882, OIS, 1/1.95 inch optical format)
  • Front camera 32 MP (optical format 1/2.74 inches)
  • 8 MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera (1/4.0 inch optical format)

Realme has so far introduced the GT Neo6 only in China, where it is available in green, purple and silver colors. For reference, the phone starts at RMB 2,099 (~$290) with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, but can be upgraded to up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage for RMB 2,999 (~$415). . Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether the GT Neo6 will be available internationally at this time.
