This Friday, Ford announced the arrival of Spaniard Carlos Sainz for the next rally raid. The American car team has secured a recruit to fulfill its goals at the highest level.

Spaniard Carlos Sainz, four-time winner of the Dakar, whose last edition was at the wheel of an Audi, will join Ford for the next rally raid, the car team announced on Friday.

“We decided to overcome the ultimate off-road challenge by teaming up with Sainz”writes Ford Performance on his X account.

“El Matador” Carlos Sainz, 62, has won the Dakar four times with a different brand: in 2010 (Volkswagen), 2018 (Peugeot), 2020 (Mini) and 2024 (Audi), becoming the oldest winner in the test.

His compatriot Nani Roma, 52, winner of the Dakar on motorcycles (2004) and cars (2014), will be another Ford driver in the 2025 edition.
