Onet-le-Château. The youngsters are preparing for the finals on 25 and 26 May

Two days from the end in National 3, the club’s flagship hosts the US Castanet on Saturday 11 May at 18.00 in La Roque.

But while we wait for this meeting, let’s look back at a near-perfect weekend for the club.

First Saturday afternoon, in the four corners of the department: the U15 team won on penalties in Mende and qualified for the final of the Aveyron Lozère cup, after a 4-4 draw.

The U14 team won 3-2 in Baraqueville and also qualified for the final of the Via Santé cup.

Finally, the U17s get back an 8-1 win from Millau and will also see the final of the Aveyron Lozère cup! These finals will be played on the weekend of 25 and 26 May.

In Couffouleux, the U18 team won 6-1 and secured first place three days before the end of the championship.

But the big achievement was for the senior reserve team who, thanks to their 3-0 win against Le Monastère, reached the Regional 2 championship.

After several rounds of the Occitanie Cup, with the elimination of teams, it is an exceptional season for the young Castonétois, but also for the staff almost 100% from the club: clearly the reward for an ambitious project.

On Sunday, the U11 team was number 11 in the final of the departmental challenge in Millau, while the U13 team took home the trophy from the Occicom final in Saint-Georges… and in the afternoon the senior team in D2 Bozouls was manhandled 15-1 and consolidated their 2nd place in the group. While waiting to play these finals, everyone is looking forward to this Saturday at 6pm and hoping for a big crowd of friends of the club and victory for the 3rd national team.
