Drâa-Tafilalet: Opening of four new cinemas

Four new cinemas opened their doors to the public in the Drâa-Tafilalet region, as part of the project to open 150 cinemas nationwide launched by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communications.

In Errachidia, the capital of the region, the Targa Cultural Center has a 360-seat cinema, while the Zagora Cultural Center now has a 245-seat cinema.

The region’s small towns are not left out, as a 290-seat cinema hall has been created at the Rissani Cultural Center (Errachidia province), and another with 187 seats at the Kelâat Mgouna Cultural Center (Tinghir province). “The inauguration of these rooms aims to trigger a new cultural and artistic dynamic in the region and promote the seventh art as an integrated cultural industry,” underlined Karim Zaouaq, director of regional communications office in Drâa-Tafilalet in a statement to FOLDER. .

For his part, Hamza Ahadi, director of the new Errachidia cinema, stated that the ticket prices were very affordable to facilitate access to the cinema, specifying that the entrance fee for children is 5 dirhams, compared to 10 dirhams for young people and between 15 and 20 dirhams for adults.
