Faced with calls for help from the latter, a 32-year-old man of German nationality, who was there with other people, threw himself into the sea to try to save him a young man.

Carried away by strong waves

Two Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan police) agents also jumped into the sea to try to rescue them and a helicopter maritime rescue finally managed to pull their bodies out of the water. Once on the ground, both people were pronounced dead.
