Toulouse trio 100% Deen CK “finally” posed in a bikini on Saturday

Basic
Deen CK will be on stage in a bikini on Saturday night, opening for DJ Bens. The first for rapper Toulouse.

Isdin, Shams al-Din, and Taj al-Din are brothers. Of their first names, they only keep the last syllable to name their group “Deen CK”. They started music very early, but outside of hip-hop. They initially formed a rock group: Tago on drums, Ace on bass, and Shams on vocals. Rap came later, around 2017. “We needed to write after the traumas we had gone through,” Shams says. “We lost our mother prematurely, and we were still teenagers.” The therapeutic mission of music motivates the three brothers above all to free themselves from the “weight of the past.” [extrait de leur dernier EP].

“I make music for two reasons: to dance or to cry. Either way, I feel good. I don’t claim that it suits everyone, but I had the impression that I was capable of facing all the problems of the world. Once I knew how to say the words to them,” explains Shams Al Alam. “After the first stone in 2020, they met the agency Pajo Almar, which helped them professionalize. They perform small stages, springboards and opening acts, including tracks by rappers Tiakola and Fafi.

Go further with three

Physically, they look quite similar. In creation, each of them has his own specialty. The roles are defined: “Eis mainly takes care of the production and melody. Shams takes care of the image, the artistic direction and the message we are conveying. I bring precision and wisdom and manage the ‘administrative’,” smiles Taju. They depend on each other to give their best.

Lyrics “My brothers taught me that I can’t achieve anything alone” [extrait de leur dernier EP] Clear on this topic. Shams adds: “Anyway, no one achieves anything alone. Many rappers start their careers collectively. Even when they perform alone, they are always surrounded in the studio and on stage.”

On stage thanks to an Instagram post

The title of their latest EP “3D°” echoes their siblings as well. Tagoe also admits to having “a certain obsession with that number.” The project consists of three titles, and other volumes of three titles will be released later. Next at the beginning of April. But “3D°” is also a nod to its origins. “We have a French dimension, a Benign dimension that we know very little about, and the third dimension is where we will find our place,” explains Tajo.

Saturday night on stage in Bikini, they’ll be there. They had access to DJ Bens’ opening act thanks to Instagram. “He put out a post asking for feedback on artists from every city he passed through,” Shams says. “People mentioned us and we applied. Then Blue Citron contacted us.” “Finally, we performed in a bikini,” says Tago, who is proud to perform with his brothers, in one of the most emblematic places in his city.
