Ted and Anne Carré, optometrists from Lons-le-Saunier and Champagnole (Athol), created the Faire ça voir association in 2017. “Its goal is to raise awareness about various visual impairments such as dyslexia, color blindness, nearsightedness, low vision, ophthalmic migraine, and especially about existing compensation solutions,” elaborates Ted Carrett. These disorders affect 20 million French people.
To combat dyslexia, the professional reminds that there are glasses with electronic lenses, lamps and a method for treating dysproprioception. The Association may participate in financing these solutions.
Ted Carrett has just answered a call for projects in the Best Care category to help 100 children with dyslexia, and has been chosen by mutual insurance company Mutualia. “We won 5,000 euros,” Lédonian rejoices. In addition to this charitable fund, we have planned an additional funding budget to support interested people through membership and donations…”
The association operates throughout France. Has 80 relays.
