“Hymn to Love, Intimate Harvest”, the first solo exhibition by Aymeric Modern, known as “Moi”

The visual artist and self-portrait painter is on view for the first time from April 8 to May 5, 2024 at Tropiques-Atrium. “Hymn to Love, Harvest of Intimacy” is a journey into the imagination and fantasy of Emeric Modern, known as “Moi.”

Painting, graphics and photography, Eymric Moderne known as “Moey” expresses his imagination through many arts, and the artist has things to say in his first solo exhibition.

Hymn to Love, Harvest of Intimacy is a celebration of the love I have for those close to me. My family, friends and also someone I miss, hence the presence of pink flamingos, lovebirds, flower fish and even cats. It is an exhibition that invites you to life, to gentleness, to sensitivity and passion.

Eymric Moderne, known as “Moey”, is interviewed by Natalie Goss and Terry Sokan

The artist uses self-portraits to express his imagination.

Through the self-portrait, the artist subtly speaks about himself. A unique and stylized exhibition by this former student of the Campus Caribéen des Arts.

They express an imaginary projection of me. I use nature, butterflies and flowers to manifest myself in another being. It really expresses another person in a fantasy state of what I could be.

The exhibition “Hymn of Love, Harvest of Intimacy” is on view until May 5, 2024 in the Veranda Room of the Tropiques Atrium.
