IAS will take misinformation into account for brand safety

The IAS has announced that it will include misinformation posts on Facebook and Instagram in its brand safety and fitness reports. The company uses Garm (Global Alliance for Responsible Media) categories to broadcast content in video channels and Reels of Meta on social networks. If platforms already guarantee to ban advertising on content that their moderation teams identify as misinformation, they do not take into account the third-party categories defined by Garm.
