Meta Reduces Quest 2 Price Again

There’s never been a better time to buy a Quest 2. In fact, Meta has cut the price of its virtual reality headset for the second time this year.

The Vision Pro may represent the pinnacle of mixed reality, but its exorbitant price – and the fact that it’s only available in the United States for now… – will dampen the enthusiasm of many. The Quest 3 costs €549.99 and is much more affordable, but perhaps still too expensive for those looking to jump into the world of virtual reality.

Getting started with VR

To encourage those who are hesitant to take the plunge, Meta has reduced the price of Quest 2 is still in the catalog and justifies its status as an entry-level VR headset for €249.99 more than ever. This is 50 euros less than before and is the second price drop since the beginning of January. Previously the device cost €349.99. The discount applies to the 128 GB configuration, the 256 GB configuration retains its price of 349.99 euros… and is out of stock.

Also note that the Quest 2 accessories are also well priced, which is always a good idea. This discount may be the last of its kind. Meta is clearly keen to run out of stock of the Quest 2, given that the 256GB version has been virtually unavailable since the start of the year. The first generation Quest (which was called the Oculus Quest before the name change) is in danger of turning into a luxury door stopper from April 30th.

Read “Endgame” to get the first meta-quest with that name.

Meta is still a long way from burying the Quest 2, which is arguably the most popular VR headset on the market. The library of games and applications is very solid and there is plenty to keep you entertained.
