ONMT puts “Rabat, city of light” in the starting blocks of French tour operators

The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) puts “Rabat, the city of light” in the starting blocks of French tour operators, on the occasion of the annual Forum of the French Business Union for Tourism Management (SETO), which takes place from 24 to 26 February 2024.

For its 2024 edition, Rabat has been chosen to host this forum, whose announcement was made in Marrakesh last November on the sidelines of an event organized by the ONMT which was in a seduction operation among those prescribing French travel, the Office said in a press release .

The choice is highly symbolic and allows ONMT to set a destination “Rabat, city of light, capital of culture” on the map of the main emerging tourist destinations, according to the press release.

The event, which began on Wednesday, was magnified by the Minister of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, who welcomed the choice of Rabat to host this important event, confirming the Government’s commitment to support partnerships that contribute to the development of tourism in Morocco.

The SETO Forum is the main event for the tourism profession in France. Organized every year since 2009, it allows members to share the latest sales reports, discuss joint projects and French trips, but also to gather in a friendly format all players of the profession around recognized experts who enrich the conferences and debates. and interventions with their visions and expertise.

In addition to the analysis of tourism figures and trends for 2024, three main topics will be covered during the SETO 2024 Forum, namely the global economic situation, climate and tourism and geopolitics with selected speakers including, notably, the former French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hubert Vedrine.

The SETO forum also provides networking sessions between French tour operators and Moroccan tourism actors from different regions of Morocco with the aim of developing programs for all regions of the kingdom.

ONMT therefore plays its role as a catalyst serving the tourism sector and its professionals. Tourism in action continues!
