In the family Bachelet in Serqueux, the boxing is a religion. Cyndelle is already French champion, and it is now the younger brothers, Joël and Nohan, who continue their rise. Joël Bachelet (15 years old) has just won belt of Vikings in Carentan (Manche).

The family is still looking for a room to start a boxing club in Pays de Bray. But the task is difficult.

From the final to the Vikings belt

In the process, his brother Nohan (14 years old) reached the final against a young Russian who already had 30 matches.

The Vikings is a competition open to cadets and juniors who have already had at least 5 or 10 matches under their belt.

In 2023, Joel Bachelet won the Vikings belt in -52kg. This year he keeps the belt, but at -57 kg.

A member of the Noble Art of Rouen, the young man settled in the world of amateur boxing and seems to have a bright future.

Store experience

As a 15-year-old, he already has 19 matches for only 2 defeats. A fine track record that he hopes to expand.

And yet the competition is fierce since the best French hopes are present, but also foreign delegations.

In three days (from April 19 to 21), the young man put together three matches and three victories to extend the record and now look higher.

But his coach and father, Jérôme, remain cautious. He knows how slowly a career is built.

“For Joël and Nohan, this type of competition allows them to gain experience. There are big teams coming to the Vikings belt. There was especially a team from Kosovo and champions from France.
