600 participants expected at Champfleury races

Champfleury organizes 14e edition of a running race with a new formula of fun and the return of certain distances.

The event will take place on May 5th. Departure will take place at the Champfleury Community Centre.

Participants will be offered three distances – 1, 3 and 5 kilometers. The route will be filled with entertaining elements and colorful obstacles “to ensure runners have maximum fun,” organizers say.

“The Champfleury Race is distinguished by its family approach,” adds Champfleury Center Public Relations Manager Jade Arbor. This is truly a community event and the emphasis is on the enjoyment of physical activity rather than performance results.”

Enthusiasm

Organizers hope to host 600 runners during the race on May 5. So far, more than 570 people have registered. “The registration process is going better than we could have hoped for to date,” admits Jade Arbor.

In 2023, 556 runners took part in the event.

The event will take place rain or shine, but it’s clear the community center wants the temperature to be on its side.

Please note that a variety of refreshment stalls will be available at the competition site. Attendees will also find gift booths and a game fair. This includes balance and skill tests, Photo boothas well as a colorful makeup station.
