Olympiakos took an option to qualify for the Europa Conference League final by beating Aston Villa at Villa Park (2-4) this Thursday evening in the first semi-final. THE VillansLille’s scorers in the previous round had still managed to equalize after the break (2-2, 52′), but it was not enough against Ayoub El Kaabi’s hat-trick.
In the other semi-final, Fiorentina won at home against Club Brugge, thanks to M’Bala Nzola’s goal in stoppage time (3-2, 90’+1), while he had just come on a few moments earlier. The Belgians have a one-goal deficit to make up for in the second leg to hope to qualify for the final.
