After a short animated film, femininity is in the spotlight. First in Japan, where Nachos, the director, and Natsumi, the surfer, take viewers on an idyllic and exotic surfing journey to the north of the island, while snow and waves sometimes merge almost suddenly.
Head to London in October!
Then came the short film “A Wave of Truth” produced by second year Surfing Sports Studies students from Liniec Secondary School in Pont L’Abbe. Designed within the framework of moral and civic education taught by economics teacher Christophe Conan, the film deals directly, but in fictional form, with the inequalities that sometimes occur in the world of surfing. The students, mobilized by the competition, were absent, but their teacher was accompanied by “Greg”, the coach in the film but above all La Torche’s surfing teacher, who had a nice surprise. Their film won the New Brittany Ferries Award. Access conditions? Suggest a film filmed in Brittany or directed by Breton. Thanks to him, the film “The Wave of Truth” will be shown at the upcoming London Surf Film Festival, in London next October, as well as a “travel” budget of 600 euros. “Great pride” for Christophe Conan, who will “try to convince the students to leave” for the occasion.
