To start. Morocco will host Global Immersion Week 2024 from May 13 to 15

Open Startup (OST) announces the third edition of Global Immersion Week (GIW) which will take place in Morocco from May 13 to 15, 2024. Hosted for the first time in Morocco, the event aims to showcase the thriving innovation ecosystems across Africa, with a particular emphasis on BlueTech, EdTech, HealthTech and FinTech startups.

Networking opportunities: A chance to connect with a select list of guests, including top venture capitalists, CEOs of support structures, founders of pan-African startups and policymakers.

The previous edition of Global Immersion Week (GIW)

GIW 2024 will bring together more than 100 leaders of the global startup ecosystem, from approximately 15 countries, in addition to the host country, in this case Morocco. We note the participation of South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, France and Saudi Arabia.

Event highlights

Keynote speeches: From government officials to industry leaders on the future of technology and innovation in Africa.

Panels and workshops: With contributions from leading structures such as TechStars, Al Mada Ventures, Village Capital, WAVE, WISE, 500 Startups and Africinvest, among others. These sessions will focus on investment readiness, building sustainable ecosystems and fostering transcontinental partnerships.

Networking capabilities: An opportunity to connect with a select list of guests, including top venture capitalists, CEOs of support structures, founders of pan-African startups and policymakers.

This event is supported by the founders of Open Startup: AfricaGrow – Technical assistance facility funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Columbia Engineering, Columbia Business School, the US Embassy in Tunis, AfricInvest Group and The Dot.
