Profile, route, favourites… Here’s everything you need to know about this sixth stage of the Tour of Italy.

Difficulty: 3/5

From Viareggio, where Magnus Cort (Uno-X Mobility) raised his arms last year, and for 70 kilometers the route becomes completely flat. The rest will be much more demanding for the runners, with a series of climbs, starting with Volterra (9.8 km at 4.2%), and the passage via the three dirt roads. A total of almost 12 kilometers of “sterrati”, it is significantly less than on the Strade Bianche, but they will be concentrated in the last 50 terminals and may catch certain favorites.

The first white trails, Vidritta (4.4 km, flat) and Bagnaia (4.8 km, including a 2.5 km climb at 6.6%), are well known to the Strade Bianche, and will precede the new the passage of the Pievina sector (2.4 km), approx. 15 kilometers from the finish line. A long false flat will eventually lead the peloton towards the finish judged in Rapolano Terme, including the demanding climb to Serre di Rapolano (0.7km at 10.6%), located four kilometers from the finish.
