Lions of the Atlas, its future… Amine Adli says it all

Between his choice to represent the Atlas Lions, his future and his social commitment, the Moroccan international, Amine Adli expresses himself with complete spontaneity.

In an exclusive interview given to “Telefoot“, the Atlas Lion, Amine Adli, talked about his future, the choice to represent Morocco, his social involvement and many other points.

When discussing his future, Atlasløven emphasized that “Leverkusen is a very good club, in full development. It is these big clubs that everyone knows. As a footballer, the aim is to perform as well as possible with your club and eventually aim for these big clubs.

“When I was young, there was a great rivalry between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. This year we know that the Premier League is the most attractive and toughest championship. But for my part, I have no preference for a particular championship,” declared the Moroccan.

Regarding the choice to represent Morocco, Adli admits it was a choice of the heart: “It was quite simple, a logical choice, a choice of the heart. Both my parents are Moroccan, I have a lot of family in Morocco, whether on my father’s or mother’s side. Deep down I knew I was going to play for Morocco. I had initial contacts with the coach, I immediately informed him of my decision to join him.

“It is something extraordinary. All the love that these people can give you, the fervor that reigns in the country, it’s something different and it’s something you can’t find anywhere else. It’s a family, whether it’s the fans, the family, all the Moroccan people, the players in the squad… When we’re in the squad, we feel very good and it helps us to want to give the best of ourselves – same , he continued.

“It is something close to my heart. I am of the Muslim faith. In our religion, orphans are something important. As a footballer, the image we can convey and everything we have within reach, it is important to be able to help people and give the best by yourself. Not only in Morocco, I plan to do other actions all over the world if I can, Adli added.

“I was part of an association, we came into contact with another that takes care of orphans in Morocco. At the moment we are looking to build schools, wells across Africa…Beyond football, something I love is to be proud and leave a mark to help your neighbour,” he said.

The Lion of the Atlas was one of the 26 players called up by national coach Walid Regragui during the last gathering in March, which ended with a win against Angola (1-0) and a draw against Mauritania (0-0) on the turf of Grand Stade d’Agadir.

As a reminder, the 23-year-old winger has played 28 games this season under the orders of Xabi Alonso, with 7 goals and 8 assists in all competitions.
